Free Piston Power
Pempek has been engaged, since February 2001, in the design and development of a
technically sound, most compact, low cost, almost elegant linear generator module.
The module provides a means for oil to continue to be the primary automotive energy
source but in an environmentally responsible and economically viable manner. It
offers a plausible solution to the fossil fuel waste-and-pollution conundrum that
continues to plague the land transportation sector.
The high power density and compact size of our linear generator module make it possible
to design and construct a Series Hybrid Electric Vehicle. This vehicle will be powered
by four electric motors mounted directly onto the wheels.
When slowing down or braking, all kinetic energy will be regenerated and stored
in a Lithium-Ion battery pack and subsequently re-used during acceleration.
The result is a significant reduction in fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
This is achieved without any degradation in vehicle performance and payload capacity.

What the Dickens!
Pempek is bankrolling a home for less-fortunate children in Swedru, Agona District,
(about 70km northwest of Accra) Ghana.
Our aim is to provide love, caring, a nurturing environment, food, shelter, healthcare,
education, vocational training and inspiration and a whole lot more and indeed we
are.
It is our heartfelt wish that, in time, the inmates be balanced individuals who
can think and problem solve and may look after themselves and at least one other.
Individuals who contribute to planet earth in many positive ways. Individuals who
practice safe sex, plant trees rather than tear out forests, design and fix-up buildings
rather than fly into them, caress rather than torture. Individuals that run around
with a ball rather than an AK-47.
At present, 76 human beings, infants, children and young adults, ranging from 3
months to 18 years of age, any colour as long as it is black, are being cared for,
looked after and guided by Madam Joyce and five Assistants, god bless their cotton
socks.
